- x264 codec option: Episode's native implementation of the x264 codec allows access to this high quality h.264 codec allowing encoding to all formats in Episode where h.264 is supported. X264 is widely accepted as one of the best h.264 implementations available.
- Autodesk Wiretap integration: Simply creating a new Autodesk bookmark in the Episode media browser enables browsing, monitoring, and encoding directly from Autodesk file systems.Fixes and Improvements
- Improved manual profile and level controls in the MPEG2 encoder.
- Fixed an issue that would cause monitor tasks to become corrupt when editing the "Monitor Poll Interval"and/or the "File Safety Delay" values in the Monitor Inspector parameters.
- Fixed an issue that would cause Episode to crash when reverting changes made to a bookmark in the mediabrowser.
- DVD PAL encode preset now has proper profile and level set.
- Fixed an issue that prevented Closed Caption data from 720x486 frame-sized source files to be properlypassed to encoded outputs via the VBI importer and VBI exporter.
- Fixed an issue with Episode-encoded h.264 MP4 files not exporting properly out of QuickTime Pro V7.
- Fixed an issue that prevented some Episode encoded files to be properly imported into Final Cut Pro V7.
- Made several encoding improvements to better support the Grass Valley K2 Media Server.
- When using the MainConcept h.264 encoder, the proper video format flag (NTSC, PAL) will be set in thevideo stream.
- The Episode XML-RPC server is now running by default.
