- Report Commander 2 allows you to move away from the command-line-driven style of Report Commander 1 by using Projects instead. Projects make it easier to manage settings for your reports, and also allow you to process as many reports and produce as many exports as you want in a single "task." E-mail distribution allows you to send any combination of outputs produced within a project.
- Report Commander now uses the latest Crystal Reports runtime components, with support for the Excel XLSX format.
- Support for e-mail distribution lists has been added, making it easier to e-mail reports to groups of people.
- User-defined variables and built-in functions make it easy to use predefined text and calculated values in report parameters, file names, etc. Functions make it easy to insert calculated dates like the current date, beginning of month, etc.
