v2.5 [Nov 24, 2012]
-option to bring back the Find in library right-click menu item on Windows Media Player 12.
Tag Editor Plus
Added Publisher field to the Artist Info page.
Fixed: Windows Media Player could crash when opening Tag Editor Plus for a file that contained certain invalid tags (e.g. a Beats per minute tag with non-numeric value).
Fixed: possible Access Violation error when batch editing the Genre of more than 10 songs.
Fixed: Tag Editor Plus didn't show up in batch editing mode when one of the selected files couldn't be opened.
Fixed: embedded pictures, lyrics and comments were read-only when the first media that was played after opening Windows Media Player was a DVD or audio CD.
Fixed: embedded pictures, lyrics and comments could still be edited for files marked as read-only.
Fixed: editing the Composer, Writer or Conductor field didn't activate the Apply button (special thanks to Paul Coddington for reporting).
Fixed: Unicode characters in the song's artist/title were incorrectly displayed in Tag Editor Plus's title bar (special thanks to Joel Low for reporting and for testing a fix).
Hotkeys
New actions available for global hotkeys: step frame forward/backward (video only) and increase/decrease/reset playback rate.
The space bar local hotkey now also starts playback when stopped (previously, the space bar only had effect when Windows Media Player was playing or paused).
Party Shuffle
Fixed: possible Windows Media Player crash when removing the current song from the Party Shuffle playlist and then starting Party Shuffle again.
Fixed: when trying to remove the current song from the Party Shuffle playlist, the wrong song would get actually removed.
Fixed: in settings, auto playlists that contained restrictions (e.g. Limit Number Of Items) were not available to be selected as source for Party Shuffle (special thanks to Paul Coddington for reporting).
Fixed: when Windows Media Player Plus! auto-restored the Party Shuffle playlist at startup and the source playlist didn't exist anymore or was empty, the same warning could be displayed more than once.
Disc numbers in media library
Fixed: navigating through the media library was slow when an external application was connected to Windows Media Player, such as Windows Media Center or Logitech Media Display (special thanks to Alex Polling for reporting).
Removed warning in settings about this feature being experimental, and reworded the setting itself while moving the more detailed explanation underneath.
Current media in Windows Media Player's title bar
Now also showing the current media in the title bar of Windows Media Player's Now Playing mode (previously, only the title bar of Library mode got changed).
Fixed: the tooltip of Windows Media Player's task bar preview still contained the old title bar text of the previously playing media (Windows 7 or higher only, special thanks to Joel Low for reporting and for testing a fix).
Miscellaneous
Made the Stop after current and Close after current menu items also available when right-clicking Windows Media Player's Play button, for faster access.
Restore Media at Startup now won't restore any media when Windows Media Player is launched invisibly in the background (such as when running Windows Media Center).
Fixed: on non-English versions of Windows Media Player, the Tag Editor Plus and File menu items didn't appear in Now Playing mode.
Fixed: the File menu item didn't appear for songs whose filename contained Unicode characters.
Fixed: now properly displaying Unicode characters when showing the currently playing media in Windows Media Player's title bar and in Windows Live Messenger's 'What I'm Listening To' field. Advanced Title Formatting (ATF) in general now supports Unicode too.
Fixed: Windows Media Player Plus! always tried to show its settings window on the first Windows Media Player run after install, even when Windows Media Player was running invisibly in the background (such as is the case with Windows Media Center). This could also cause 'unauthorized window' errors in the event log while using a Windows Media Center Extender. All info/warning/error dialogs that Windows Media Player Plus! can show are now hidden as well when Windows Media Player is running invisibly in the background.
Support for Windows Media Player 12 on Windows 8.
v1.1 [Jul 6, 2010]
Fixed: Windows Media Player crashed when accessing the Windows Media Player Plus! settings while the plug-in was disabled.
