2007 Backgammon is a good game of backgammon. You can choose to play against the computer which has six different levels of difficulty or with your friends or also to play online against thousands of players from all over the world.
The objective in this board game is to be the first player to remove all your pieces from the board by moving them to your “home board” and then bear them off. You move the pieces in a counter-clockwise direction to the bottom right corner of the board which is your opponents “home board” who moves his pieces clockwise to the top right corner.
The game has nice graphics and it is all in 3D, plus you can view the board from any angle.
Although you have six different AI levels, they do not seem to be really different from one another, so there is not really an easy level and a hard one, they are all around the middle not really easy but not quite hard either.
The game is “free” but, for you to be able to install it without paying any money you have to agree to have the developers toolbar installed in your web explorer. If you do not want the toolbar you have to pay U$S 14.95. So in the end you can get it for no money but in my opinion is not really free if you are forced to install a toolbar. May be you have no problems with that but I don’t really like toolbars.
