4Media Audio Converter Pro is a very complete audio conversion tool. It can be used not only to convert audio files between a variety of formats, but it can also rip audio CDs and burn them as well. These are two features that I don't normally see in most audio converters. The main application window has three buttons at the top that let you access the three different features. When you click on each of the buttons, the user interface will change slightly for each of the available modes. Mostly the number and location of the buttons will be different. On-screen instructions are provided on how to use the application before you load any files.
I did most of my testing with the audio converter. It lets you convert video or audio files to 11 different audio formats, including MP3, MP2, and WAV. You can trim your audio clips and add effects such as fade in and fade out, normalization and echo to them. The input format support is excellent, and most video and audio formats are opened without any problems. I tested the app with AVI, MKV and MP3 files and they all worked fine.
From the settings menu, you can change the format names are given when you rip a CD and the folders where you want to save files on your Mac.
