4Media Blu Ray Ripper is a video conversion utility that lets you convert your BluRay movies to a variety of formats. Some of the supported ones are AVI, MPEG, WMV, DivX, MP4, H.264/AVC, RM, MOV, XviD, and 3GP. As you may know, BluRay movies look great, and that is mainly because of their high resolution. So, it is great to see that this ripper comes with quite a few conversion profiles that can take advantage of this resolution. There are also profiles that use a lower resolution and those are good for when you want to convert your movies so that you can play them on mobile multimedia playback devices, such as the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, smartphones, etc.

There are some nice features that are included in this tool. Perhaps the most interesting one for me is 3D conversion. This ripper supports 3D BluRay discs and you can convert 3D movies to video files using different 3D processing techniques, but the most interesting fact is that the application can convert regular video to 3D. The results of this type of conversion are good, but no converted movie will look as good as a movie that was filmed for 3D viewing.

I like this application very much. I like its design, its feature set and its speed. I really haven't found anything that I don't like about it. If you are a user who needs to convert BluRay movies to play them on other devices, 4Media Blu Ray Ripper has all the features that you need. The trial version is fully functional, but it puts a limit on the length of the files that you can process.
