Like many other ringtone creating tools, this utility lets you generate one M4R file at a time. It means that you can import one audio file and choose the preferred output settings (select the segment for extraction, sound volume, and add Fade-In and Fade-Out effects). The program also features an option to automatically transfer the newly created phone tone to your iPhone, iTunes library or any folder within your Mac.
You can also use this application to extract sound content from music videos or documentaries and export the results as M4R files. The utility preserves the quality of the input files and doesn't take a long time to offer you the results you require.
In my testing, the program worked flawlessly and offered me high-quality results. However, you can find plenty of other audio or video conversion tools that let you generate ringtones as well as convert clips and sound files of various formats. Personally, I'd prefer getting a media converter to use for multiple tasks (like burning videos to DVDs, converting between video and audio formats, etc.).
However, if you need a program just for creating ringtones, this application might be a suitable choice.
