Repair Station is in fact a pack of two. One is ATA password removal and another is a diagnostic and recovery tool for HDD firmware area. There are two types of dead or say inaccessible hard drives which are possibly recoverable to a new life. One of them is locked HDD of Laptop or may be of desktop with ATA password. Repair Station is able to remove ATA password from hard disk locked and inaccessible due to a forgotten ATA password which otherwise is not possible to remove and access the hard disk. Another reason for inaccessible hard drives is damaged firmware area. Most of the part of firmware is written on the magnetic disk and just a little part exists on the EEPROM chip. According to a study, more then half of hard disks drives are failed just due to the damaged firmware area. Just a small damage in firmware area is enough to make your drive useless and inaccessible and even your drive may completely disappear from the system. But Repair Station is able to detect those drives and it can read your drive’s firmware area to extract and analyze all firmware structures to rewrite the firmware back to drive after rebuilding the firmware.
