Accordance is a complex Mac program that provides you with all the tools you could require in order to analyze the Bible's content. Offering you detailed explanations for verses and words, Bible translations to various languages, and an effective search tool, this application proves to be a great solution for any user who wants to study the Bible in depth.
This program brings you a simple to handle interface. You can also customize its appearance according to your needs using the Preferences menu. Its toolbar can also be modified, so you can configure the application to display only the tools you require for your current study.
An important advantage of using Accordance is that it offers you detailed explanations for any selected Bible verse, character or word. Also, a built-in text-to-speech tool provides you with correct pronunciation for any word or phrase.
But, in my opinion, the smartest addition to the program makes the integrated search tool. You get the search results you need with little effort and in minimum time.
In my experience, this is one of the best programs from its category as it offers a simple yet effective way to study the Bible's content. And considering the amount of features this application provides you with, my belief is that the price is reasonable and the program is worth a try.

- The Export preferences are now in a separate Export area of the Preferences dialog box. The items have been removed from the Greek & Hebrew area.
- Support for Westminster Hebrew Syntax: If both Hebrew databases are installed, you can choose which database to use for default searching and the Tag menu via the Greek & Hebrew area of the Preferences dialog box (new Hebrew Database item); A new Hebrew Syntax popup menu appears at the bottom of a Construct tab, for choosing which database to use for the search; Choose which syntax tree to display in the Workspace via by clicking Add Parallel>Syntax. All available syntax trees are listed; The Enter Tag submenu (Search menu) provides a label indicating the active Hebrew database.
- An Add Workspace item has been added at the bottom of the My Workspaces item in the Amplify menu, for adding the active Workspace to your Favorite Workspaces in the Library.
- The Character popover is now detachable from the Workspace.
- Compatibility with new and advanced modules - If the new Diagram module is installed, a new Diagram option appears at the bottom of the Add Parallel pop-up menu. Diagrams are available only for Greek tagged text (Pauline letters).
- Accordance now automatically saves your sessions every 5 minutes. Automatically saved sessions are stored in the Backup Sessions folder in your Accordance Files folder. The last 50 sessions are saved. If Accordance crashes, a message appears allowing recovery of your most recent session. You can also manually open previously used sessions.
- Restored the ability to have the Instant Details automatically fade when it is blank and set to appear as a popover. The palette reappears when the cursor rests over text for which Instant Details are available. This setting is accessed via the Instant Details area of the Preferences dialog box.
- New item added to the Instant Details area of the Preferences dialog box for selecting how long you must click and hold before the Instant Details popover appears.
- Key number information can now be displayed for original words in the Instant Details and Dynamic Interlinear Display. The Key text to use is set in the Compare area of the Preferences dialog box.
- The following items can be added to the Workspace toolbar: English Tools, Greek Tools, Hebrew Tools, Reference Tools, and General Tools.
- Instant Details for the Hits and Analysis graph: The Instant Details display the reference at the point in the graph over which the cursor is resting.
- Minor changes/updates to the Help files.
