Adobe Animate CC is an incredibly powerful and versatile animation software. It's easy to use and allows you to create amazing animations with vector graphics and interactive elements. It also has the ability to publish animations on a variety of platforms, including custom ones, Flash/Adobe AIR, HTML5 Canvas and WebGL. The software also lets you embed audio and video, add text and raster images, and more. Overall, Adobe Animate CC is an excellent choice for creating professional-grade animations.
Part of the Adobe family, Adobe Animate is a software utility packed with numerous and various tools that allow users to express their creativity and create surprising 2D and 3D animations. It can be used to create Flash content for either digital or mobile content, and it's mainly used to develop movies, games and other content for mobile devices.
The program's installment is done easily by using Adobe Creative Cloud. Once the installation is completed and you run the application, you are greeted by a modern GUI, that has good use of space regarding menus, toolbars and side panels. It also has a few themes to choose from, in case you get bored by the default one.
In general, with Adobe Animate users are able to create web-based content for games and ads, by designing interfaces, start screens, or interactive player sprites.
The created content can be exported to multiple platforms, like Flash/Adobe AIR, WebGL, SVG, HTML5 Canvas, so you can reach your audience on mobile, desktop, and TV.
Some of the most important functionalities are the Layer control - used for organizing layers in a parent-child hierarchy-, the Asset sculpting - used to create poses for raster content-, or Auto lip-sync which automatically matches mouth poses to sound inflections.
The only encountered issues were with sound importing, export of gifs, not enough documentation for ActionScript3 and the high use of system resources.
All things considered, Adobe Animate offers a rich palette of design and programming features that make designers and engineers job easier to complete.

-Pressure and Tilt support in Eraser tool:
Pressure and Tilt options are added to Eraser tool to enhance drawing options. You can now erase with same size and precision like the Brush tool, by using the new Pressure and Tilt sensitive eraser nib.
-Paint Bucket tool enhancement:
Paint Bucket tool can now be used in continuous fill mode. The tool does live filling on the regions/contours as you drag over the shapes. You can choose to fill all the regions as you drag or, only have empty regions and specific color regions filled:
When Fill all regions checkbox is selected - Fill color is applied over all the contours/regions that you drag over.
When Fill all regions checkbox is unselected - Fill color is applied over empty regions or, wherever the starting color is found.
This drag fill option allows easier and faster mechanism of coloring into shapes drawn using the brush tool.
SVG files exported from Animate are now well organized and maintain layer hierarchy. These exported files can be imported in Character Animator for further use.
-Typekit rebranding:
In this release of Animate, you will find references to Adobe Fonts, which is the new name of Typekit. Adobe Fonts is included in Creative Cloud subscriptions. There are no limits on the number of fonts that can be activated at the same time and no limits on the number of monthly pageviews for web fonts.
