AimOne Video Joiner for Mac is a video editing tool. It can be used to join two or more video files into a single video. You can join videos of the same or different formats, and you can combine an unlimited number of videos into a single clip. The supported format list is long. The most popular video formats as H.264, MPEG-4, AVI, DivX, XviD, etc are supported.
To start the process, you need to add at least two files to the queue. When you click on "Merge", a new window will pop up. This is the conversion settings window. There is a dropdown menu that lets you choose an output format and another one that lets you choose a conversion profile. If you want to further customize the conversion process, you can click on "Advanced". This new window will show more settings, including codecs, bitrate, frame rate, resolution, sample rate and audio channels. After your settings are applied, you can start the process.
In my testing, I used an AVI and an MKV file and I joined them together. I chose a 720 resolution for the target file and the format was MP4. The process took at least 10 minutes (there is no timer), for two 1-minute clips. The resulting file looked good, but both source files had different resolutions, so one file was distorted slightly after conversion.
