Aiseesoft iPhone 4 Transfer for Mac is an iOS management tool that lets you transfer content from your device to your Mac. It supports not only the iPhone 4, but also the iPod Touch and the iPad. I tested it with both an iPhone 4 and an iPad 2, and they both were detected just fine by this application. Once your device is detected, the app will show a little summary about it. This includes information on your device such as name, type, model, version number, and there is a little graph at the bottom of the screen that shows how much space is used in your device to store music, videos, photos, books, and how much space is left for you to use.
On the left pane, you will see all your connected devices and under their name, you will see different buttons that take you to your device's content. For example, if you click on the "Music" button, the right pane will display all the songs that are stored on your phone. You will notice small check boxes next to the songs' names. These are used to select the files that you want to transfer. By default, they are all checked, which makes it easy to carry out a full library backup. You can deselect those that you don't want to transfer. The same goes for photos, movies, and books.
There is a preview feature that lets you take a closer look at your photos before transferring them, and you can also listen to your songs and videos before copying them.
There are two versions of this app: Standard and Ultimate. The Standard version restricts the types of content that you can copy and it doesn't have some of the features that the Ultimate version includes.
