Aiseesoft PDF Converter Ultimate is a utility designed for Windows that enables you to convert your PDF documents to a wide variety of file formats. It supports batch conversion, features easy-to-configure output settings, and comes with built-in OCR technology.
This type of programs might come in handy if you need to extract the text content from a PDF file and save it as a document that's supported by Microsoft Word, save a certain page from a PDF as an image file, etc. The quality of the original files is preserved with the help provided by the built-in OCR technology. You can find OCR-related settings in the Preferences panel and easily configure them according to your needs.
In my testing, I imported 2 PDF documents and converted them to different output formats (DOCX and BMP). It took a while to export the files I needed, but managed to preserve the original layout and quality level of the imported documents.
Another aspect that bothered me was that the program didn't feature an option to merge multiple PDFs into a single file which would then be converted to a certain format. This feature is available in various PDF converters for Windows.
