ZIP archives are mostly useful for compressing and storing large files hence helping you save space on your hard drives. At some point, you might need the files within the created archives. Applications like Akeeba eXtract Wizard help you extract the files you need within moments.
This program won't require much experience as its interface is very easy-to-use, with only few settings which are simple to configure. You will only need to select the archive file you wish to decompress and the destination folder for the extracted files. If your ZIP archive is password-protected, don't worry; Akeeba eXtract Wizard lets you enter the necessary access password immediately after you select the destination folder for the extracted files.
My only concern regarding this application is that it supports a small number of archive formats: ZIP, JPA and JPS. Therefore, you won't be able to decompress files of formats like RAR, TAR or CAB.
However, the decompressing speed was definitely an important advantage of using Akeeba eXtract Wizard. And, considering you don't have to pay a buck to use it, there's no reason to hesitate when it comes to giving it a try.
