One way to reclaim disk space on your computer is to find and remove duplicated data. AllDup is an application that helps you complete the aforementioned task with minimum effort and in just a few moments, without slowing down your system in the process.
This utility might prove to be of good use if you're dealing with a large collection of pictures, songs, or movies and wish to easily get rid of the unnecessary file copies. You have access to a wide variety of search filters, the ability to preview found data before deleting it, and options to save scan results for later.
Furthermore, the application takes a very small amount of time to scan the selected folders and delete the found duplicates. In my testing, I imported a 1GB folder from a connected removable device (a USB drive). The utility took less than 10 seconds to display the list of found duplicates (at least 10 duplicates).
My only issue with this program is the fact that it comes with an unappealing interface. Its main toolbar is filled with numerous options. It's easier to use the menus of the program to find the options you need.
Still, there aren't many duplicate finders that work as good as this application. AllDup is feature-rich, efficient, and free. Hence, it's definitely worth trying this program if you're looking for an easy and quick way to find and delete duplicated files from your computer.
