ALToolbar 4.26

ALToolbar is not just another annoying toolbar that installs on your Internet Explorer. It offers functions that go beyond the common bars, such as a web surf cleaner, a password and login manager, Website screenshot capture tools, and besides, it is free.

Loging to favorite websites automatically, it handles the user's login and password online, so that it can be done from any computer (of course as long as this toolbar is present). Its search engine does searches directly on popular sites like Wikipedia, and users can add other sites to the list of default ones. Additionally, the search engine works in finding texts on a current page with more options than found in IE.

The Screen Capture tool is better than Windows's PrintScreen because it captures the entire contents of a page even if you need to scroll down the page to see them, plus the frame of IE will not appear in the captured image. Also, it enables the right click menu on protected images. And it gives the possibility to capture a selected area or element of a web page.

New in this version: users can now do a search on stored addresses in the Bookmarks. Other new features include IE7 integration, and the AlPass account confirmation issue was fixed. Furthermore it blocks advertisements that avoid the pop-up blocker from IE, it detects phishing ensuring that the website is real and preventing the personal data from falling into wrong hands.

Unfortunately the toolbar works only with Internet Explorer; and since Alpass validates personal data through the Internet, it doesn't not seem entirely righteous to me.
