Download multiples files with ease

AM Downloader is a free download manager software that allows you to easily keep track of all your files currently being downloaded. Developed by antikmozib, this handy open-source utility tool is great for when you have multiple files in your download queue that need to be managed—especially when you have a limited internet connection bandwidth available to you. However, take note that this will require a preinstalled program to run properly.

Familiar-looking controls

AM Downloader looks similar to a lot of download client software like BitTorrent. Its interface consists of a sidebar menu that categorizes your files by their status, the taskbar at the top, and the download pane that displays all of the files currently being downloaded or have completed their progress. You can easily add new files by clicking on the “Add” button and adding a URL to extract the file from.

In the download pane, you can see the details of the file. These include information such as file name, file type, download status, progress, file size, total file size, download speed, ETA, directory location, URL, the creation date of the download, and the HTTP Status. Here, you can easily do actions like starting, pausing, and canceling downloads by right-clicking on the entries—although these can be done on the taskbar, too.

The sidebar, on the other hand, displays 8 status with color codes: All, Ready, Queued, Downloading, Paused, Finished, Errored, and Verifying. You will see numbers on them to indicate just how many of the active downloads in the download pane have that status. Similar to other manager programs, you can set the maximum number of parallel downloads and throttle their speed to reduce network pressure. Just remember to install .NET Core 3.1 Desktop x86 Runtime.

A great choice

Overall, AM Downloader is a nice open-source option if you want a tool to easily manage your downloads. It has got all of the basic features you would expect from such a program and it’s quite user-friendly with its design, too. It is only too bad that it lacks some other common features that would be handy, such as a browser extension. However, it is still highly recommended and you can try it out.
