Aneesoft Free Nokia Video Converter is a free video converter. It allows you to convert most video formats into three formats that are playable on Nokia mobile phones. These formats are MP4 (MPEG-4 and H.264), 3GP, and RM. I didn't think RM files could be played on Nokia phones, but apparently it is possible. There are two different codecs used for video encoding in the MP4 container: H.264 and MPEG-4.
This free converter supports most formats as input, but to open some formats, you are required to upgrade to the "Pro" version of this application. Also, there is a video editor that allows you to carry out a few basic editing tasks, but you also have to upgrade to make use of it.
You can add as many files as you want to the interface. The files will be converted one after the other automatically, and you can assign different profiles to each file.
In my testing, I used an MP4 file and I converted it to 3GP. The process went quite smoothly. I did get a pop-up screen saying that I had to buy the converter before converting, but I just clicked on "No, thanks" and the file was converted anyway.
