Aquarium Live HD is a simple Mac application that provides individuals a wide variety of screensavers, with multiple video scenes and music, that can be used to transform the desktop in a more relaxing environment.
Its installation process takes last several minutes and when it's over, you get in contact with a basic GUI, located in the top desktop toolbar. There are no themes or advanced customizations, only a simple main menu and a few basic tabs.
The app includes 4 long HD videos to choose from: Busy Coral Reef, Shark Paradise, Calm Coral Reef and Clear Aquarium. It's worth mentioning that all videos are between 6-8 minutes long and represent different stories.
Users are able to edit transitions and choose whether to play sounds or not . There are 11 sounds to choose from, such as ocean waves, aquarium bubbling, or calm seas to name a few. In case you don't like any of them, you can play a song from your own library.
Other included options are the Sleep timer, the Flashlight, and the Portrait mode.
Overall, Aquarium Live HD is a smart and simple Mac utility that can transform your desktop environment into a cool place. However, it would've been nice to have a wallpaper option, not to mention that in order to get rid of ads you have to purchase the pro version.
