The ArcGIS Editor for OpenStreetMap is a tool designed to help ArcGIS users participate in the open source geographic data community. Users can install tools for ArcGIS Desktop or a Feature Service component that works with ArcGIS Server to download OpenStreetMap data and store it in a geodatabase. With the ArcGIS Desktop editing environment, users can create, edit, and manage OpenStreetMap data.

v2.0 [Oct 16, 2011]
-Users can leverage Silverlight, Flex, Javascript, or other map viewers to get a simple-to-use, template based, editing experience that allows me to make real-time edits to OSM.
-Emergency managers can designate a small extent of the Emergency and allow anyone with mobile capability to connect to OSM through the features service to do real-time editing.
-Developers can use ArcGIS.com to create a template application that embeds their OSM feature service. E.g., a city can host a viewer where users map the locations of graffiti for removal. They can also leverage the GeoServices REST specification to use particular kinds of editing as provided by the spec.
