ArcSoft TotalMedia Extreme is a complete suite of media applications that allows you to watch and create Blu-ray discs, DVDs and VCDs, listen and create audio CDs, create data and backup discs, and more. It integrates well-known ArcSoft tools (like TotalMedia Theatre) with a number of new utilities, thus providing a complete solution to your multimedia playback and editing needs.

TotalMedia Extreme has brought together under a single easy-to-use interface a collection of five multimedia tools plus three extra utilities.

TotalMedia Theatre is a universal video player for your commercial DVDs, home-made videos and Blu-ray discs. You can also play almost any video file (QuickTime, WMV, WMV HD, RealMedia, and H.264 HD) and many other disc types, such as AVCHDs, CDs, and VCDs. The full support for high definition video formats allows you to enjoy your commercial Blu-ray discs together with home-recorded BD-R/RE discs (recordable Blu-ray discs).

TotalMedia Studio captures, edits, and burns your video content into both BDMV discs and DVDs. You can turn your slideshows and PowerPoint presentations into video just by loading the media files desired and selecting the type of disc you want to burn them to. You can also capture your videos from a camcorder, edit them, add a custom menu, and burn them either to Blu-ray or standard DVD discs.

TotalMedia Record offers you a suite of simple tools to create data and audio CDs, DVDs, and BDs. You can rip audio from your CD collection or create audio discs from your MP3 files. It also includes a copy CD utility that can be used for discs containing any media.

TotalMedia Backup allows you to select the type of files you want to back up based on content. You can back up only your media files, or only a certain type of media files (photo, audio, or video), or your personal files, or any file! The program will perform full-data or incremental backups of the file types selected. As with the other recording options, you can use any type of disc to burn your backups.

TotalMedia Extreme incorporates two other utilities that are really useful in any multimedia environment – it creates and burns ISO images, and erases rewritable discs.
