Ashampoo WinOptimizer is a suite of utilities intended to increase the performance and security of your operating system. The product is full of features to take care of such areas as junk data, maintenance, storage space, privacy and performance, among others. Fortunately, its developers have managed to pack this long list of features into an excellent graphical user interface that really helps users find their way without any trouble.
If you do not know much about system optimization, you can simply click on the Analyze button and let the program do at least the basic tasks for you. These include removing Internet traces and unnecessary data as well as cleaning the registry of invalid entries. Another possibility is to schedule automatic optimization every time the program is launched.
This review would be too short to include all this program’s features. Instead, I will refer to the ones that definitely caught my attention. First, the program can help you improve your gaming experience by killing unessential processes and services. Second, it includes a benchmarking utility that helps you determine the speed of your computer and compare it with other systems based on online statistics. Third, the application can monitor the state of your hardware in real time and issue alerts when something seems wrong. Finally, it can perform various operations to wipe files, find duplicates and even recover lost data.
In fewer words, Ashampoo WinOptimizer is definitely one of the most comprehensive programs of its type available. When tried, it certainly did everything its developers claim it can do. However, I have to admit that some of the features intended to increase performance work in a “black box”, which makes it difficult to measure its real impact. I cannot think of any disadvantage of this product, only that I would have liked to receive more visual information on the progress of the operations. Despite this minor inconvenience, I truly recommend this program. Luckily, it is free to try without restrictions.
