Asoftech Photo Recovery scans your hard disk and recovers deleted photos. It does its job well but doesn't impress with the scanning speed or other exceptional features. This program is very similar to other recovery applications from the same developer. They are supposed to recover specific file formats, but as far as I know all of them support the same file formats. You need to buy the full version of Asoftech Photo Recovery in order to have access to all the program features. Though, a curious thing I noticed is that formats like AVI, MPG, MP4, MOV, PDF, DOC, ZIP, TXT, etc. can be recovered only with the pro version of Asoftech Photo Recovery. But at the same time, the same formats can be recovered with the trial version of Asoftech Data Recovery.
The graphical interface of Asoftech Photo Recovery is very similar to the one of Asoftech Data Recovery. The only difference is in the window colors. I didn’t like that, besides the selection of formats to be recovered, the application had no other settings or configurations. Also, scanning a relatively small-sized partition from my hard drive proved to be very time consuming.
Personally, I won't recommend this application to anyone. I know from my experience that other similar and even better programs are available.
