Let's set the record straight from the beginning: Asterisks Password Viewer is not a program designed to help you steal passwords. Its purpose is to help you recover the ones that you have previously saved and that you can not remember. In order to protect you from people who are looking over your shoulder, most programs will hide the characters you type in the password box behind some black circles or dots, which are called asterisks. This application will help you "lift the curtain" and see actual characters.
Although the way Asterisks Password Viewer works is very similar to other programs of the same kind, I still enjoyed its simplicity. Another plus is that the window of the program has a transparency effect which allows you to see "under" it, a feature that will definitely come in handy.
So, if you can get past the fact that you should pay close attention to the installation process if you don't want the Babylon toolbar to be installed along with the program, then Asterisks Password Viewer is a tool that you will surely like. Of course, there will always be a bunch of people who will find a reason to complain about this application but Asterisks Password Viewer is simple and efficient, and that's pretty much all that matters in my book.
