Astroslugs is a great-looking and well-designed puzzle game. The story behind the game is simple. Your race, the Astroslugs, wants to leave the planet and conquer the Universe. The only problem is that they don't have any energy. To collect energy they have to solve puzzles involving slugballs. Each puzzle that you complete will give you energy. The easier puzzles give you only +1 energy, while the more complex ones give you a bit more. In each puzzle, you will see a set of slugballs on the screen and some shapes that you have to form with them on the left, along with how many of those you need to form. To match the forms, all you have to do is to click on the balls that you want to use. This is not the hard part. The difficulty arises when you have to create 2 or 3 identical forms. You need to figure out how to group slugballs so that you have enough left for the other forms, because you can't use a slugball more than once.
Astroslugs has a great design. From the moment you launch the application you will notice this. The graphics are very colorful and the animations and transitions are well made.
The most important thing about this game is that it is fun to play and it seems to be very long. So even though it is not cheap, it could be a good investment. Fortunately, the trial version lets you get a taste of the game before you have to purchase it.
