Atlantica Online is a multiplayer online role playing game with a turn-based combat system. Back in 2008 this game was called the best free to play game out there by the critics, however a lot of time has passed since then and the game isn't as highly praised as it once was.
Many old MMO's like World of Warcraft and others, have heavily modified on their game to attract new players and to keep the old ones satisfied. Atlantica Online also received a lot of new content, and I do mean a lot. The game now occupies almost 15GB of HDD space. Once every few months the game received new dungeons for raids as well as new quests and many new mercenaries. The problem is that everything they added isn't that special, and a lot of new foes are surprisingly similar to the old ones, and dungeons seem to be repetitive.
The graphics are still quite good even though the graphical engine is outdated. A few modifications have been added to the turn-based combat system, and that is a good thing because I considered it to be done just right the first time.
Overall, Atlantica Online was once considered to be the finest free to play game, and in many cases it still is. I enjoy the combat system and the new storyline, however I think there is room for improvement.

New Mercenary: Puppeteer Rin
New Mercenary [Puppeteer] has been added
As a descendant of Japanese Bunraku Puppeteers, Rin posses a unique control over her puppets.
Rin uses 3 unique Puppeteer magic spells: [Empowering Control], [Curse of Strings], and [Bloody Strings]
[Empowering Control] - Takes control of allies using puppetry powers, increasing their abilities. Allows stunned characters to lose their Combo Count.
[Curse of Strings] - Uses powerful puppetry magic to control and curse the enemy, nullifying magic spells cast on them (except purification spells).
[Bloody Strings] - Sacrifices an ally to boost the puppet's power with their blood. The reinforced puppet increases the caster's Attack Power, Critical Rate, and Multi-Hit Rate. In addition, the caster becomes immune to all magic spells.

Trade in [Festival Script] to NPC [Guide Acong] found in Rome or right outside Goonzu World to recruit Rin and obtain her Event Jewels and Books.
