The created notes can be of various types: plain text, rich text, handwritten, drawings, photos, shapes and even PDF slides. Unfortunately, such a popular format as PPT is not supported.
The application may represent a somewhat steep learning curve for some users. Therefore, it may well be necessary to become familiar with its many features before being able to use it fluently. However, some of the basic functions are easy to use right from the start. For example, you can click a button and start recording the description at the same time as you create a note. It is a pity that the help documentation is only online and does not accompany the application. It is also unfortunate that the tool uses its own set of shortcuts, which can sometimes be confused with the operating system's own shortcuts.
Many other applications that record speech end up producing an unintelligible file, with a lot of background noise. However, AudioNote - Notepad and Voice Recorder manages to overcome these difficulties thanks to the use of noise reduction filters and automatic volume amplification adapted to the size of the room.
As for the notes, there are a number of options that allow you to customize the way they are displayed. In this sense, you can use different types of backgrounds, with a quite realistic appearance. It is also possible to highlight different text sections and include annotations.
Fortunately, the created notes can be organized in folders, according to your needs and context. Similarly, they can be conveniently synced between different devices if you choose to store them in the cloud, as the app integrates with iCloud and Dropbox.
When you open one of the notes, a simple click can open the associated audio file. It is good news that you can seek the desired position. In addition, the notes can follow the playback.
In summary, AudioNote - Notepad and Voice Recorder offers various advantages for different types of users: home, corporate but especially students. Just imagine that as a student you can make drawings, capture videos of your teacher's explanations while taking notes.
