Audirvana Plus is an audio player that comes as an alternative to using the iTunes application for playing your favorite music. This program also enables you to stream songs from your favorite music sharing services, create playlists, and import tunes from your iTunes library.
The main difference between this application and iTunes is that the first provides you with better sound quality. Its audio engine helps you play your favorite music at the best quality possible, without slowing down your Mac or other running programs in the process.
Before using this utility on your Mac you will need to make several adjustments. For instance, you will need to select the local folder you wish to import to the app's library, choose the output device you want to use for playback, etc. Afterwards, you can start creating playlists, checking song artwork, and stream music.
Another advantage is that the application comes with an integrated search tool which comes in handy if you're dealing with a large music library and wish to easily and quickly find a certain song.
Still, in my opinion, this program is a bit too pricey for what it offers you. You can easily find cheaper solutions for playing your favorite songs, creating playlists, and streaming music on your Mac.
