AVG Cleaner is a capable program for Mac that helps you clean up junk and cache files, delete app logs, and remove download history from your browser. By doing so, you can reclaim space on your hard drives and optimize the performance of your system with just a few clicks.
You can select folders or entire hard drives for scan, ignore files smaller than a certain size (lets say, 5 MB), and check how much space you can save by deleting the found files. Another good aspect about this application is that it provides you with a fast scanning speed.
What's more, the program lets you scan and clean up external drives. All you need to do is select which folder to scan for junk, cache files or duplicates, choose the items you wish to send to Trash, and let the program remove the unnecessary files.
I like the fact that you can preview duplicated images before sending them to Trash. However, the application doesn't allow you to pre-listen or check movies, PDF documents or songs in the Preview window.
To conclude, I'd say it's worth trying this program. AVG Cleaner provides you with a straightforward interface, reveals hidden clutter within moments, and comes with no price tag.
