Awesome Miner is a software program equipped with multiple tools and functionalities that allow users to monitor and manage various types of cryptocurrency. Either it's the famous Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Litecoin, the app can suffice multiple user needs.
Once you've entered the app, you notice that it has a straightforward interface, with well-organized menus and tabs. However, the main theme could've been better polished, such as text font or button icons. Also, at times, the navigation can become sluggish because of the poor response to user input.
As per its functionalities, Awesome Miner provides users the possibility to perform overclocking operations for AMD and Nvidia GPUs. While using Native overclocking, the users can control the voltage, power, clock speed and other GPU properties.
The app supports Bitmain Antminer, Canaan Avalon, Hyperbit, Baikal and other ASIC miners. What's important is that the mining operations can be automated by defining triggers and macros.
Other included features are Miners groups, Notifications and Recovery, Balance Monitoring, Mining history, and Templates for predefined configurations.
To sum it up, Awesome Miner is a complete solution for dealing with cryptocurrencies and performing all sorts of operations.
v5.5 [Sep 6, 2018]
ASIC mining:
- The Remote Proxy can do automatic discovery of new ASIC miners on the network and automatically add and remove new miners in Awesome Miner. Intended for large scale mining operations.
GPU mining:
- Remote Agent on Linux (beta). See the documentation on the web site for details about the Linux support.
- Display of AMD and nVidia GPU driver version on the Summary tab for each Managed Miner and Managed Profit Miner.
- The dialog to save hashrate can also save the current power usage for the selected GPU (if reported by the mining software).
- Benchmark can be started with custom command line arguments.
Performance:
- Significant performance improvements to support very large number of miners.
- User interface more responsive when using large number of miners.
Configuration:
- Introducing multiple columns when displaying External Miners, Managed Miners and Pools in the options dialog.
- Profit switching interval can be specified in both minutes and seconds and allows an interval as low as 30 seconds.
- Profit switching setting for the minimum time a miner will stay on the same pool before i can change to another pool.
- Filtering for Managed Template section of Options dialog.
- Pools and online service entries can be configured with a Personalization string to support Equihash variants that requires this string to be provided when mining.
- The maximum API connection timeout can be configured to 30 seconds.
User interface:
- Selected lines on the Balance tab can be copied to the clipboard using Ctrl C.
- Updated coin images and cleanup of old coins.
- Allow sorting by software in the Benchmark dialog.
Features and integration:
- Include the Mining Pool Hub pool for BTG and the Zergpool pools for Equihash variants.
Rules and API:
- Added API to get a list of coins and information from the Coins tab (/api/coins/stats).
- Added API to get a list of multi coin pools and information from the Online Services tab (/api/onlineservices/stats).
- Added API to get a list of all Profit profiles (/api/profitprofiles).
Mining software:
- Added mining software: SgMiner-kl 1.0.5.
- CastXMR 1.4 with Cryptonight-Fest algorithm support.
- SrbMiner 1.6.7, including support for generating the initial configuration file.
- T-Rex miner 0.6.3.

Corrections:
- Correction to scenario where pools are added from the web interface and used for performing actions on ASIC miners.
- Correction to trigger for Revenue / Profit to not trigger too often.
- Correction to user defined Managed Software to prevent new algorithms, that are disabled for the specific software, to show up in the Benchmarking window.
- Correction to uptime display for Excavator miner version 1.5.
- Correction to execution of rules based on failed process trigger to prevent blocking user interface updates.
- Correction to T-Rex miner integration to prevent multiple instances of the mining software to be started.
- Correction to the test message feature for the e-mail settings, to support sending the test message to multiple addresses.
- Correction to Profit Profile where specific mining software could end up being unselected.
