Baidu PC Faster is a complete set of optimization tools. In fact, it has so many features that some of them deserve their own review, so that it’s practically impossible to cover them all here. The program has an attractive graphical user interface and it’s very unlikely that you would have any difficulty to use it.
Right from the welcome screen, a click on the Scan Now button will suffice to start checking your computer. A few minutes later, you get a report on junk data, unused applications and unneeded startup entries. It’s a pity that, although you can view details of the results for each of the scanned area, the tool doesn't let you decide which item to clean. The program can also help you uninstall software as well as recover disk space by erasing large files that are no longer needed. Moreover, it can preserve your privacy by cleaning traces of your computer activity, including recently opened applications and browsing history.
Baidu PC Faster includes some additional features. In this regard, you can use it to find and eliminate malware infecting your system, such as viruses and malicious plugins. Moreover, it can defragment hard disks, recover deleted files and shred sensitive data. Something that may call your attention is the feature that allows turning your computer into a Wi-Fi hotspot.
All in all, Baidu PC Faster doesn’t seem to be any better or worse than some other optimizers available. It has effectively recognized multiple issues that were supposed to slow down my computer. However, it was hard to notice any significant improvement after applying the suggested changes. I recommend you try the application for yourself, because, after all, it’s completely free.
