Use this RTF editor to view and type Bengali-written texts. Bengali fonts can be used without a keyboard. Consonant and vowel letters are conveniently grouped.
Bengali or Bangla is the official language of Bangladesh. This program is a RTF text processor that includes a Bengali keyboard, so you don't need to learn complex programming skills to write in that language.
The program's interface is divided into two panels. The upper one shows the Bengali keyboard. To write a letter or word, you only need to click on the corresponding keys. The written text will appear on the lower panel. The program only lets you save your work on the RTF format, but you can export or copy-paste it easily into other text processor formats.
The program has all the functionalities of a common text processor. You can use different fonts and formats, such as bold, italics, and more. Also, you can search for specific words and paste text from other applications. It is possible to insert images, bullets, special characters, and so on.
In general, the program is easy to use. Nevertheless, I found a couple of drawbacks. For example, when I tried to open the User guide and the About file from the program's Help menu, these files simply didn't open. I needed to search them in the program's folder to view them. Also, when I clicked on the Print preview option, the program showed an error message. Nevertheless, you may want to give it a try.
