BestZip is intended to extract the contents of archives. In this regard, it is noticeable that the tool supports unzipping a long list of archive formats, including RAR, ZIP, ZIPX, 7Z, ISO, PKG, BZ, JAR, GZ, GZIP, TGZ, SIT, TBZ, TAR, XAR, XIP and DMS. This way, it becomes sort of a universal unarchiver.
The tool has a user-friendly interface. There is a pane which lets you browse your folder structure just as you would with any file manager. Besides, there is another pane that provides instant previews of the contents of the selected file. Luckily, there is even a special view for various types of graphics.
In short, it is very convenient to have such a tool as BestZip, which you can use to extract the contents of whichever archive format. It has a logical limitation: it cannot help you perform the reverse process of zipping files. Nor can it convert between archive formats. A trial version of this product is available from the Mac Store. However, you will need to purchase its professional version if you intend to continue using it after 10 days.
