BGLiveRadio is an app that lets you listen to online radio stations. These are limited to some Belgian radio stations, though. The application runs on the menubar, from where you can access the available radio stations and control playback. There is also a Dock icon that gets installed on your Dock, but you can remove it.
From the menubar, you can select one of the 25 available stations. Some of them are Radio ZRock, Radio StarFM, Darik Radio, BG Radio, Radio 1, Radio FM+ and Radio Romantika - Sofia. I don't really recognize any of them but the music they play is nice. Most of the songs I listened to were English pop hits and there was some electronic music as well. Of course, all the ads and announcements are in Dutch or German. Some radios have more interruptions than others, but most of them are music only.
The quality of the sound was actually very good. I was expecting low quality streams, but I was positively surprised. Only two of the four radio stations that I tried had buffering problems. The rest played smoothly all throughout my time listening to them.
