As its name clearly suggests, Bible-Discovery is a religious app that aims to delve into the teachings of the Bible. This is the perfect tool for those who won't get along with a quick and superficial reading of the Bible, but want to deepen its mysteries and hidden wisdom. Undoubtedly, the Bible is one of the most read books of all times, and Bible-Discovery is a great help for its scholars.
The program, however, is not as easy-to-use as one might expect. Firstly, once you install it you need to separately download the Bible's editions and/or languages you are interested in. Some of the available ones are the Complete Jewish Bible (CJB), the English Standard Version (ESV), the International Standard Version (ISV), the American Standard Version (ASV), the New American Standard Version (NASV), the King James Version (KJV, 1769), the Geneva Bible (1599), the Darby Bible (1889) and a lot more. Although some of those Bibles are available for free, the rest of them are for sale, so that you need to purchase them first. The program also allows you to download/buy multiple dictionaries, maps, audio-Bibles, translations, e-books, commentaries from many renowned authors, and cross references. As for the translations, they are available for more than 20 languages including some uncommon ones like Frisian and Latin.
Once you have downloaded and installed your Bibles, you can use the verse chooser to navigate to a specific book, chapter and verse, whether from the Old Testament or from the New Testament. The selected verse is browsed for all your installed Bibles through tabs, so that you can easily compare them. Besides, the program offers you additional functions like words search, search analysis, bookmarks management, dictionary search, notes addition, maps browsing and cross references management. The program provides a special panel to execute all the mentioned functions.
All in all, Bible-Discovery is a must-have for any Religious, Priest, Pastor, Minister and any person interested in a deep Bible study. Although many of the required complementary elements are for sale, they are offered at very affordable prices, in general terms. The program's interface can be customized in several ways, like through the use of skins.

Keyboard shortcuts include: Alt+0: jumps to the Bible panel. Alt+1..7: jumps to the tab page according to the number. F1: brings up a menu for panel switching. F2: brings up a menu for panel possibilities. Alt+K: in the Bible panel adds commentary to the current verse. Alt+B: adds the current verse to the bookmarks. In the Bible panel, you can use the up, down, home, end, page up, page down keys to navigate. You can use Tab key for changing focus. By pressing Alt+Down on search fields, the word history appears. Ctrl-Space views the search field word recommendations. Alt+F: jumps to the search field. Alt+L: jumps to the search list. Alt+W: jumps to the preview. On Mac OS you can use Cmd instead of Alt key combinations.
