BES provides the means to authorize operators and allow those operators to monitor the configurations of authorized targeted systems on a network in the IT environment and also enables operators to take any necessary corrective actions, all from a centralized location. Created during installation of the TOE that includes URLs for the Server CGI programs and other site information in a signed MIME message. The Masthead is central to accessing and authenticating the enterprise action site. The TOE brings content into the enterprise based on subscribed Mastheads. A Masthead is required for communicating with the BigFix Fixlet Server as it contains all the site-specific information needed to deploy Fixlets.
