BlindWrite is a handy and lightweight application that allows you to perform several tasks with your CD, DVD, and Blu-ray discs, like copying them, backing them up to HDD files, or restoring them from HDD files. The program allows you to perform any of these tasks in just a few clicks. Besides, it supports reading various popular disc image formats, such as ISO, CCD, and CUE/BIN.

Thanks to an intuitive and self-explanatory user interface, BlindWrite can be enjoyed by any PC user, without needing any special knowledge. First, the program allows you to select the task you want to perform ─ copy, read, or write. Copy allows you to make a duplicate of a disc and burn it into a blank disc directly regardless of its type – a data, music, video, or hybrid disc. Read allows you to create a backup of a disc as an image file (e.g., an ISO file), while Write allows you to perform the opposite task ─ writing the contents of an image file back to a blank disc.

Whatever task you select, you will always need to specify a source and a destination. They may be physical disc drives or disc image files, depending on the kind of operation you want the program to perform. Moreover, BlindWrite also offers you several profiles you can choose from to optimize the program's performance. Those burning profiles are automatic, ISO image, audio CD, audio CD + G (hybrid disc), bad sectors, no split, normal, and nibble. The program is also capable of erasing CD-RW discs for you, in either quick or complete mode.

Despite all these worthy features, the program also presents a couple of disadvantages. Firstly, even though it is capable of reading disc image files in multiple formats, it can only create new images in BlindWrite 6 format. Besides, the program cannot create backups of copy-protected discs. As a tip, if you want to do that, you will need to use the program in combination with a third-party tool, such as AnyDVD (as recommended by the developer).

To sum up, BlindWrite may be good solution for simple CD, DVD, and/or Blu-ray discs backup or duplication tasks. However, it still presents some lacks that may render it inappropriate for more advanced tasks.
