BlueAuditor is a program developed by Nsasoft. Although Nsasoft is a company that focuses on network monitoring and auditing, this time they used their expertise for something slightly different: Bluetooth devices. Many mobile devices include a huge amount of Bluetooth functions, so following the idea of network monitors they created a Bluetooth monitor.
First of all, the computer you are running the program on must have an active Bluetooth adapter, so it can start analyzing the network. The range of BlueAuditor is up to 100 meters, according to the creators; however, this range is affected by other devices and physical objects, so you will not usually get those 100 meters. Still, once you get a device in range, you can see the type of this device, the MAC address of the adapter and the brand of the device.
Moreover, it shows the kind of activity a device has and even if there are devices interacting with each other. In the end, there is not much use from this kind of monitor, unless you want to keep track of what employees do with a Bluetooth network.
