BluffTitler helps you create nice titles for your clips. The program has three editions, Easy, Pro and Ultimate, which are installed as a single product but have different interfaces, features, and prices. During the trial period, you can easily switch to any of them without ever leaving the program. It is important to know that the Easy edition does not allow editing effects.
What I liked the most about this tool is the possibility of creating complex 3D titles. If you compare the use of this tool with general-purpose 3D-animation software, it definitely requires less effort and time to produce at least decent results. Regrettably, sophistication sometimes has a price, and this program is definitely not one of those you can start to use right away. However, if you do not aspire to create anything original, you can use any of the templates available online and change the default text.
Its interface is composed of two different windows that float over the desktop. The main window contains the menu and a preview of the video, while the tool window lets you tweak different parameters and properties until you get what you expect. As said, the tool supports working with volumetric shapes and cameras. Similarly, it is always a good idea to use layers to simplify your job. For example, a mirror layer can reflect specific planes.
Once you have finished editing, you can proceed to export the results. The program supports saving as static images, a sequence of frames or a video. Luckily, it allows exporting clips in ultra-high definition. Two output video formats are supported MP4 and AVI. Of these, AVI is the most useful because it allows preserving transparent areas, which is essential for compositing. This way you can integrate your title with a background video using an editor.
All in all, BluffTitler is unquestionably a great choice if you are willing to create your own video titles. I must alert you that mastering the tool may take some time to explore the interface and the online documentation. In this respect, it is a good idea to watch the tutorial.
