As our story opens, Fone Bone is separated from his cousins, Phoney and Smiley, and lost, far from home. His quest to find his cousins and get back to Boneville takes Fone Bone ever deeper into the mysterious valley, encountering new friends, strange creatures, and increasingly dangerous foes.
