BreakOut Free 1.0

BreakOut Free is an app developed for Mac where your objective is to break all the blocks from the board with a ball. This game looks and feels a lot like those addictive, old-school arcade games from the '80s, such as Atari's Breakout or Arkanoid created by Taito.

You have access to a Keys window where you can check which keys to use when playing this game. Also, on the High Scores screen you can access a list with your best results.

The goal is very simple: guide a ball with a paddle to destroy all blocks from the board. You have three turns to try to clear the board of all blocks. The game is over if the ball falls next to your paddle for three times.

Unfortunately, the app lacks many important features. For instance, you cannot disable background music or sound effects. Another disadvantage is the fact that the keys' sensitivity level is very high. Hence, it's pretty difficult to play and win the game.

Nonetheless, this game keeps track of your highest scores, offers you instructions, and is free. Plus, it might prove to be of good use while you're on a break from work.
