Broken Sword: Director's Cut is a mystery game. You play as Nico Collard who is invited to interview the statesman Pierre Carchon, and gets drawn into the conspiracy of a murder at the Palais Royale. This is a point-and-click style 2D game. You have to talk to different people to collect the clues, and solve the mystery.
