Caato Time Tracker is a simple application that lets you track the time spent on a specific project. The free version of the tool supports monitoring a single project – yet, your project can have multiple tasks and time entries. With the purchased version this limitation is surpassed, so that you can check the multiple projects you may be working on simultaneously.
The program's interface is straightforward and intuitive, as you are provided with text-based indications to guide you in configuring new tasks. You can add as many tasks as you want within a project. Each task can have multiple time entries, which appear automatically as subdivisions of a task. The time entries track the time period between clicking the 'Play' and 'Pause' buttons, letting you monitor your working progress via clear-cut sequences of time. The utility lets you search the tasks both by date range presets and by custom time intervals. The program generates handy reports that can be exported into Excel and CSV. In addition, you have the ability to send the reports via e-mail directly from within the application.
A good feature the program provides refers to its ability to convert hours to days simply by defining the number of hours in a working day. Furthermore, you can ask the program to show in the Dock icon either the hours worked within the current day or the number of running tasks.
To sum up, this application offers a simple solution to track your work time. You are provided with handy reports that can be used both for statistics and for calculating your billable hours.
