Capturer is a Mac program that enables you to record the activity from the whole screen or from a portion of it. You can work with this application whenever you need to make recordings of software tutorials, video chat sessions or game walkthroughs.
You can select the video recording style (fullscreen or an area on your desktop) and configure the app's settings by accessing its icon from the Menu Bar. If it's necessary, you can also change the shortcut keys for the recording process and enable audio capture.
A good aspect about Capturer is that it uses a small amount of CPU resources while recording the screen activity. Many similar programs don't offer this useful feature.
The only thing that bothers me while working with this recording utility is the fact that it supports only one output format: MOV. This file extension isn't supported by many multimedia devices or players for Mac.
