cDock is intended to customize Dock and make it more eye-appealing and comfortable to use. The tool is very easy to use and there are tabs to change different kinds of settings, such as themes, background image, transparency level and separation between icons.
Luckily, the application comes with various themes for you to choose from, so there is no need to have special skills or spend much time in Dock customization. However, you can still create your own themes and save them for future uses. It is good that you can always return your Dock to its default state if you prefer so. There are a few other aesthetic adjustments you can make, which include animating applications when opening, automatically hiding the Dock, changing dock position, and some others.
All in all, it is good to have a tool like eDock at hand to make your Dock look and behave exactly as you want it. Regrettably, for me it was a terrible news that I had to disable SIP (system integrity protection) for this version of the application to work properly. I had already tried former versions without any issue of this type and I was confused when this one did not work until I realized what the problem was. Another bad news is that the product is no longer free. Yet, it can still be tried at no cost.
