Cheddar is a free task manager that you can use on your Mac and iOS devices. The first thing that I noticed when I launched the application was its incredible simplicity. The main window consists of two panes: the pane on the left displays your lists, and the one on the right displays all the tasks or To-Dos on that list. Each task can be checked to mark it as complete or archived, which removes it from the list (archiving can be undone, though). Adding new tasks is as easy as typing in the "What do you have to do?" field or using the system-wide hotkey, which opens a small window regardless of what your current application is at the moment.
Cheddar is also available for iOS and it can be even accessed using a web app. Changes to your lists and new tasks are synced almost immediately across all the platforms. It should be noted that Cheddar will only let you create two lists for free. If you want more lists, you will have to upgrade to Cheddar Plus, which costs a little under 20 dollars per year.
