Cleaner Alpha is a system optimization tool designed to help you recover disk space taken by junk files. Therefore, the utility scans for application and Internet caches, logs, iTunes temporary files, mail downloads, and app leftovers. The Trash and downloads folders are also identified since they usually store items you no longer need.
It's very easy to use this app. You just need to enable the search for files considered useless and wait for the results. Once the scan process ends, you are provided with a clear view of the size taken by each category of junk files. Unfortunately, the tool doesn't display the items within categories for a custom selection of files to remove. Yet, even if you decide to clean all files belonging to selected categories, you get an unexpected message asking you to purchase a license for this application. In other words, the free version of Cleaner Alpha is of no use. It is rather a presentation of an application you need to buy.
In short, the utility allows you to see how much space is taken by junk files. For removing useless items, you need to upgrade to the full version.
