Client Folder Maker is intended to increase your productivity. This application lets you create presets of folder structures including their contained files, which you can later replicate on different locations.
I would not say the application has a complicated interface; yet, it is not one of those tools you almost instinctively know how to use from the start. Fortunately, it comes with two presets, including one of a simple web site, which you can readily use or modify to meet your needs. In this regard, the application supports adding, renaming and deleting folders. What is more, you can even set permissions on them.
The application allows recording key combinations that you can use later to duplicate the desired folder structure at a given location. Just pressing the recorded keys shows a contextual menu from which you can pick one of the available presets.
It is good that you can create a folder tree manually; however, it seems to me that the easiest way to do so is by dragging and dropping an existing folder structure onto the tool’s window. Moreover, when doing this, you import the contents of the source files as well. Fortunately, presets can also be exported by a simple drag-and-drop operation to the desired disk location. Likewise, you can do the reverse operation to import a new profile.
One of the best advantages of Client Folder Maker is the possibility to customize the replicated folders and files. In this regard, the tool lets you use tag variables and colored labels. For instance, you can use auto-incrementing tag variables for creating numbered hierarchies.
All in all, Client Folder Maker is a tool that I am sure many professionals will find very convenient as it saves a lot of time and effort. Luckily, this product has a very reasonable price.
