Clone2go DVD to iPad Converter is a commercial DVD ripper and video converter. It allows you to convert all kinds of video files to formats that the iPad can play. But it isn't limited to those formats. With this converter, you can carry out conversions for pretty much any modern media playback device. Some of the supported output formats are: MPEG-4, H.264, MOV, MPG and SWF.
On the main window, you can add files by either dragging and dropping or by clicking "Open DVD" or "Add Files". You can rip a DVD and convert a file all in the same operation. After a file is added, it will show on your queue and some information about it will be displayed next to the file name. Below your queue, you can manually trim your video by selecting the start and stop times. You can also choose an audio and subtitle language. At the bottom of the screen are the conversion profiles. You can either choose a profile for one of the supported devices (iPhone, iPad, AppleTV, Blackberry, etc.) or choose a format and customize the settings.
In my testing, the converter worked well. I tested it with an MKV file and I didn't experience any problems.
