Comprehensive Chess Openings 2005 is an opening encyclopedia that includes comprehensive theoretical material for all chess openings as of January 1, 2005. This encyclopedia includes over 500,000 opening moves and 8,000 key positions that are evaluated and annotated with text from Grandmaster Kalinin. Additionally, a detailed report can be generated for any opening position, which is presented in an encyclopedic table format and can be edited and expanded. The program also includes a key system for every opening that is automatically extended as the opening is further examined. All information is stored within the program. Furthermore, the encyclopedia includes references to grandmaster and master games, which are sourced from a 1,000,000 games database.
